Hey, everyone!
Hope you’re all doing well and getting ready for another year of LA Clippers coverage on a darn near daily basis. As such, I figured it’d be time to inform everyone of my plans to turn on subscriptions over the next few days.
It will cost $5/month for people who opt to do a monthly pledge and $50/year for those who decide to do the annual variety. You don’t have to do it. I don’t want anyone to feel like they have to pay me for my coverage. All I’ll simply say is that if you do decide to continue supporting me in this endeavor for independent coverage, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and will pay your trust back with the best coverage possible. If you do not want to do so, that’s totally fine. I’ll still post a free article every now and then so you won’t fully miss out on things.
Payments will be turned on starting Friday, Oct. 4, the day before the Clippers’ preseason opener in Hawaii.
Once again, it’ll be $5/month or $50/year. The $5/month is the cheapest that Substack will allow, so I do apologize for that. But those who subscribe annually will get two months free.
I cannot thank every one of you enough for your support over the last couple of years, and I do apologize for the change in structure as it will go from completely free to now behind a paywall. However, with the nature of the economy and such, I can’t continue doing this to the best level possible without you guys and your support. As I said earlier, if you don’t feel up to it, then that’s absolutely fine and I respect that because, as mentioned, the economy is tough and I do not blame anyone if they opt not to pay.
One major note on this change: None—and I mean NONE—of the Team USA content will be stuck behind a paywall, so when I do opt to do those stories and features in the future, they will be free.
Thank you so much and I appreciate you all! Now let’s get ready for a great season of coverage!
