Balanced night leads Clippers over Blazers while Mann leaves with injury
Tuesday marked the 9th straight home win for L.A.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- LA Clippers forward Terance Mann left Tuesday’s home win over the Portland Trail Blazers with a hand injury late in the third quarter.
Mann did not return to the game and it was later learned that the 28-year-old suffered a fractured middle finger on his left hand.
The injury marred an otherwise positive night for a Clippers team that won their ninth consecutive home game to move to 14-9 overall, thanks to their 127-105 triumph over the Blazers.
After the game, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue stated that he did not see or talk to Terance Mann before Mann left to get his hand looked at.
“It definitely impacts our team,” Lue said of Mann’s injury following the game.
“Tomorrow will be our first look at it without him. But the energy that T-Mann brings, since coming off the bench he’s really been playing well. After having the game he had last game and then for this to happen, it’s not good timing. Just pray and hopefully thankful he can be back sooner than later.”
