Clippers handle Nets, notch 8th win in last 10 games

Editor’s Note: Normally, I wouldn’t start out an article about a game by talking about me, but I did want to apologize right off the bat for not writing about Wednesday’s loss. I had planned on doing so but was otherwise occupied and ultimately wasn’t able to.
There are usually a few games a year I won’t really end up writing about -- which usually happens when they’re on the road, as I tend to write about every game I attend -- whether because I didn’t find them interesting, or I just lacked the sheer motivation to do so, or something else crept up. So, with that said, I once again apologize for not doing so.
They call it the City That Never Sleeps.
With its high-rises and wondrous buildings that dwarf the horizon as if spawned from time immemorial, New York City is truly a place for everyone. A melting pot of social savants and architecture and landscape, it can mesmerize you.
The LA Clippers (14-23) waltzed into Friday’s meeting with the Brooklyn Nets (11-24), victims of a Wednesday heartbreak and yearning to put the past behind them. They were successful, putting the Nets to bed with a 121-105 victory.
They ended the night with 28 assists, shot 59% from the field, connected on 14 of their 24 3-point tries, and had three players tally at least 20 points.
“I thought we did a good job of just making the right play, making quick decisions, hitting the first open guy and then taking advantage of what we had, 4-on-3 on the backside a lot of times,” Tyronn Lue said following his team’s eighth win in their last 10 tries.
