INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Before Wednesday night’s game at Intuit Dome, LA Clippers coach Tyronn Lue made his way down the hallway that connects the home team locker room to the press conference room where Lue does his customary media obligations.

Before he could get to the room where reporters awaited him, Lue was stopped by several children who asked him for a picture. Lue obliged.

The coach was all smiles as he granted each request—five in total. Lue, who understands the job that he’s been tasked with, then walked into the room and answered the questions reporters had for him.

When he entered that same room several hours later after the Clippers had defeated the Orlando Magic, 104-93, the smile that was once on Lue’s face was nowhere to be seen.

“We knew it was going to be nasty,” Lue said of the game. “But 25 turnovers—just makes no sense.”
