Intuit Dome postseason opener rousing success as Clippers rout Nuggets
L.A. took a 2-1 series lead with a 34-point Game 3 win.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- It took 25 years for the LA Clippers to have their own home all to themselves. But it took them just one night to show why it pays to own and not rent.
Intuit Dome opened with a playoff bang on Thursday night as the LA Clippers dominated the Denver Nuggets en route to a 117-83 victory.
Numerous luminaries and legends of Clippers past showed up on the night: Chris Paul and Patrick Beverley, to name a few.

“Our fans was [sic] unbelievable tonight, and just being able to play our first playoff game in the Intuit Dome, it was very exciting,” Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said after his team took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven first-round series. “Our fans came out, they showed up and showed out, and guys played better, played well.”
