Preseason is a process over results endeavor for Clippers
Don't focus too much on final scores right now.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Wins and losses ultimately determine everything in basketball. How you play tends to come second. But with preseason being the time to tinker and explore, it’s the process—not the results—that takes center stage for the LA Clippers.
“It’s definitely a process,” Clippers coach Tyronn Lue told media after practice Monday. “The last two days, I thought we got better. Our group came in willing to work.”
The Clippers, fresh off a 91-90 defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors in Saturday’s preseason opener, understand that the process on the floor far outweighs what the scoreboard says.
“We got in late from Hawaii,” Lue said. “But having practice yesterday, having practice today, continue to keep getting better. I give our guys credit. We got better in the last two days.”
