Same Clippers, Different Day: Fourth straight loss sends L.A. spiraling

INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- It’s becoming a rerun at this point.
If you’ve seen one LA Clippers game, you’ve seen them all. And we’re only 18 days into the new season, which makes it all the more confusing, confounding, and concerning.
The Clippers were once again without Kawhi Leonard as the forward missed a third consecutive game due to a right ankle sprain.
“He’s gonna miss the next few games,” Clippers’ coach Tyronn Lue said before Saturday’s game. “But nothing serious and we’ll just evaluate it from there.”
How long Leonard is out is truly anyone’s guess. The last time the 34-year-old missed time with an ankle injury was in the early stages of the 2022-23 season, when he was absent for six games following a similar right ankle sprain.
Without the forward, the Clippers (3-6) dropped their fourth consecutive game, a 114-103 affair to the Phoenix Suns (5-5). But it was the same ol’, same ol’.
