Woeful fourth quarter leads Clippers to third straight loss as Thunder roll
L.A. is still searching for their first Intuit Dome win.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- A solemn drizzle poured from the skies onto fans entering Intuit Dome on Saturday night. But the Thunder that awaited them inside soured their mood even more.
On a night when the LA Clippers looked to end their home-losing woes, the Oklahoma City Thunder had other plans. The Thunder, one of the two remaining unbeaten teams in the NBA thus far this season, eradicated a 13-point deficit to trounce the Clippers in the fourth quarter, ending the night with a 105-92 triumph. The Clippers are still winless in their Intuit Dome era, losing all four contests.
All four have followed a similar theme: The Clippers take a double-digit lead only to watch as the opposition whittles that advantage away bit by bit in the second half, eventually leading the Clippers to lose as they’re unable to find their fourth-quarter legs.
On Saturday, it was again the fourth quarter that doomed them as they started off the frame going 3-for-15 from the field and turning the ball over four other times. It turned a game hanging in the balance firmly into a rout.
