Zubac continues dominant season as Clippers move into 4th in West
L.A. is 47-32 and have won 15 of their last 18.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- The numbers that Ivica Zubac is putting up on a nightly basis have turned from unfathomable to undeniable.
The Croatian stalwart managed 24 points, 20 rebounds, and five assists on Tuesday night as the LA Clippers moved to 47-32 on the season and propelled themselves into the Western Conference’s 4-seed when combined with the day’s other results.
Zubac was the talk of the town after the win, mainly due to his fourth 20-20 game of the season, which only Denver’s Nikola Jokic has done more often (5).
“I watched his game over the years. I always thought he was a really good big,” guard Kris Dunn told Russo Writes exclusively after the Clippers’ 122-117 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
“I’ve been playing with him so far this year, I think what people don’t give him credit on is how good of a passer he’s become, especially out of the double-team,” Dunn went on to say. “Then, he has his bread and butter. I mean, the right hook is his bread and butter. But now he also added the left hook. He sets really good screens, and then he plays defense. I mean, that’s a top-three big to me.”
