EXCLUSIVE: Kai Jones on feeling '100%', the locker room vibes, wanting to win, and more
The 23-year-old center spoke with Russo Writes ahead of Thursday's preseason finale.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- It was learned on Saturday afternoon that the LA Clippers were converting center Kai Jones’ training camp deal into a two-way contract, filling the last open spot in the team’s allotment. Senior NBA insider Chris Haynes first broke the news.
Jones, who the Clippers originally picked up this past April, was one of the shining stars during the team’s 4-1 preseason run that saw them finish off their trial campaign with four straight victories—one of which included a game-winning dunk by the high-jumping big man.
Before Thursday’s finale, Jones spoke exclusively with Russo Writes in the locker room about various topics, including but not limited to where he feels he is mentally, what he expects from himself this upcoming season, and who has helped him.
“I feel like I’m at 100%, for sure. I feel really healthy. I feel like I can run as fast as I want to. Jumping high as I want to,” Jones told Russo Writes. “I feel really good actually. Body feels great.”
